I made a pilgrimage to Canton, Texas this weekend. If you are not familiar with Canton, it is the place where all your curbside junk goes to be re-labled as treasure! Old junk signage becomes high-end yard art; Grandmother's unwanted costume jewelry becomes high-priced estate pieces; and rusted old bicycles become expensive prized garden trellises. And everyone wants nintety bucks for it all.
"How much is that rusted bicycle over there?" Ninety bucks!
"That beat-up tea pot?" It's a steal at ninety bucks!
"That vintage hat?" For you, ninety bucks!
"That china bowl on a stick?" What, the bird bath? Oh, I can't let that go for less than...
